For instance Hertz carries forward the manufacturers warranty. They make a special deal with Ford and Toyota for 100,000-mile warranties, which are transferable to the new owner, in trade for ordering thousands of cars. Enterprise and Hertz bought nearly 1.5 million cars last year.These cars will eventually be sold under their special programs over the next two and a half years. Thrifty Car Sales has a “Thrifty Care Program” which includes a 6-year or 100,000-mile warranty, which is a factory carry through. They sell Gap Insurance in case of totally loss. They have window-etching identification to the lower cost of insurance.They accept trade-ins and have wide ranges of incentives including financing options and guarantees against lemons. They will give you another car if you get one that is too badly abused. They even give the customer a 40 pt. evaluation checklist and safety guarantee (many states require this by law, but Thrifty does it in all states regardless).A customer can buy add-on guarantees also such as Powertrain Plus or Full + Powertrain, which includes everything from the odometer to the engine and bumper to bumper. What does all this mean to the mobile car wash and detailing company? It means they are into first class service and need quality vendors to perform the work and this makes them great customers indeed. Consider all this in 2006.
